- GemsTV is a live reverse auction channel. On our game graphics (top left) you will see that each game starts from a random price point. When the game begins the "Now At" price starts to fall! In every game we have a "price crash" where we take a large amount off the price.
- Most of our live games also have a quantity, which you can see on our graphics just under the price. As the price starts to fall bidders come into the game and the quantity reduces. You can place a bid by calling the lo-call rate number or by playing online. You have to be quick if you want to get in before the quantity runs out.
- At GemsTV, everyone pays the final low price no matter when they join a game. Some bidders come in early to secure their purchase before the price crashes. When this happens a "First Bid"TM price appears above the "Now At" price, indicating the price at which the first bidder came in at. The game ends when the quantity on screen reduces to zero and all the items of jewellery have been sold.
- GemsTV likes to bring you as many games as possible to offer you more variety. In order to keep things fast we sometimes bring a timer into the games. At this point the game will end when either the on screen quantity reaches zero or the time runs out. In other games we don’t have a quantity at all and only have the timer. In these games you are simply playing against the clock.
- The graphics at the bottom of the screen show you the item description, the item code and telephone number to call to place your order.
